  • Unit 1 – introduction to the unique techniques of rope access welding and cutting, emphasizing the importance of understanding the complexities associated with working at heights and over water.
  • Unit 2 – identifying and mitigating hazards specific to rope access operations, including environmental factors and equipment use.
  • Unit 3 – learn about the meticulous preparation of equipment necessary for safe and efficient rope access work. This includes the selection, inspection, and maintenance of welding and cutting tools, as well as personal protective equipment.
  • Unit 4 – provides hands-on experience in various methods such as welding, gouging, using abrasive cutting wheels for grinding, gas cutting.

Offshore Rope access welding/cutting training course covers the following topics:
UNIT 1 – Introduction to Offshore Rope Access Welding and Cutting Techniques
UNIT 2 – Working Safely (Hazards for Rope Access Welding and Cutting)
UNIT 3 – Equipment Preparation for Rope Access Welding and Cutting
UNIT 4 – Surface Preparation & Blasting
UNIT 5 – Rope Access Practice Includes the Following:
  • welding
  • gouging
  • abrasive cutting wheels (grinding)
  • gas cutting

DELEGATE PREREQUISITES
  • All welder Training participants shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating;
  • Medical screening: Completion of a self-declaration of medical fitness form;
  • At least 18 years old;
  • Coded welder certificate according to ISO 9606/1 standard by Lloyd's Register or other quality approval society by client requirements;
  • IRATA Level 1 ,or Level 2 ,or Level 3 certificate.

COURSE LIMITATIONS
The maximum number of learners for the Offshore Rope access welding/cutting training programme is 3.
