TARGET GROUP This is a course for those who require industry-leading certification in the control, maintenance, and examination of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work at height and rescue. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is intended for use with fall protection systems needs to be regularly inspected.
Typical PPE for use with a fall protection systems includes a Harness (Full Body), a shock-absorbing lanyard, an attachment device (Karabiner or system-specific connector), a helmet designed for work at height, plus other system-specific equipment. Competent person for periodic examination person who is knowledgeable of the current periodic examination requirements, recommendations, and instructions issued by the manufacturer applicable to the relevant component, subsystem, or system.

To perform visual inspection of Personal Protective Equipment;
To identify and assessing the significance of defects of Personal Protective Equipment.
COURSE CONTENTS PPE Inspection Competent Person training course covers the following topics: Basic info work at height: – Statistics – What is fall protection? – Legislation Basic info annual inspection: – PPE Regulation – Different kinds of inspection – EN standards – Competent person – Checklist Inspection of PPE: – Harnesses (Basic/ Work positioning/Sit/Specials) – Connecting devices (Lifeline/ Positioning lines/ Lanyards/ SRL) – Anchor Points (Temporary)
ENTRY STANDARDS A basic understanding of PPE is required.
COURSE LIMITATIONS The maximum number of participants – 12 persons.
