Description of the course
Target group
Persons who infrequently visits to WTG environments.
Course Objective
The aim of this module is to enable participants, through theoretical and practical training, to use basic personal protective equipment, and behave safely during supervised visits to onshore wind turbine environments. After having successfully completed this WLA Onshore module, the participants will have the ability to act safely and responsibly when using basic personal protective equipment, follow instructions given by supervisors and behave safely during supervised visits to onshore wind turbine environments.

Duration
The duration of the WLA OFL module is 3 hours 30 minutes.

250 EUR per person.

  • Hazards in a WTG;
  • Fire awareness;
  • Medical emergencies;
  • Harness;
  • Self-retracting lifelines;
  • Measures to prevent injury during training;
  • Fall prevention;
  • Vertical fall arrest systems;
  • Safe and correct evacuation.

Course limitations
The maximum number of participants – 12 persons for theoretical and 6 persons for practical exercises.
Delegate prerequisites
  • The course participants shall be medically fit, appear well-rested and be capable of fully participating showing no signs of fatigue, substance abuse or sickness;
  • Participation in a course according to the GWO standards requires a special identification number for each participant. Each person must have this so-called “WINDA identification number (WINDA-ID)”.
