The Industrial Rope Access Trade Association

(IRATA) training module, offered to students at Novikontas, is designed to be a launchpad for technicians looking to pursue a career in Industrial Rope Access and wanting to get optimum training in working at heights.

Rope access, also known as industrial climbing, was initially developed as a form of work positioning. It evolved from techniques that were traditionally used by athletes in caving and rock climbing.

IRATA rope access allows workers to access difficult and remote locations without requiring any scaffolding, aerial work platforms or cradles. It greatly simplifies the job of workers. It is a job that involves working at heights and thus requires IRATA certification to maintain safety standards.
