Once you are ready to begin your sea practice: (if you require assistance from the career consultant in finding a placement):
*You also have the option to find your onboard practice placement independently.Collect your practice book
- Apply for a time slot using the provided link.
- Only after submitting the signed copy of tripartite agreement* you will be issued your Practice Book.
Without the Practice Book, your sea practice will not be recognized.*If not otherwise agreed uponFill in your practice book
Your Practice Book must be completed throughout all three practice periods, not just during the first one. This means:
- You are not expected to finish the entire book during your first practice.
- You should only complete the sections that reflect the tasks and experiences you actually participated in and learned during each specific practice.
- Any sections that you cannot complete during the first practice can be filled in during your second or third practice, when those tasks are performed.
! This is important because during your Practice Defense, the Program Director will review your Practice Book and may ask detailed questions about the entries you have completed.
Be honest and accurate with your entries – only document what you’ve truly done and understood.
