Description of the course

CCM meaning in maritime

CCM means that all crew on ships involved in passenger carrying are well trained to handle crowd in any emergency situation that could occur on board a ship. To be sure that crew is able to deal with an emergency on board a ship, the crew must gain particular knowledge and understanding in following key aspects:

1. Emergency procedures. Knowing and understanding procedures equips crew members with ability to organize and execute shipboard procedures effectively and use emergency equipment proper way.
2. Passenger control. It is very important to understand that passengers in an emergency situation will act unpredictably. So, CCM training gives to the crew skills to control and guide crowd to safety, ensuring fast and orderly evacuation and minimizing panic.
3. Behavior management. Each human in an emergency situation has different reaction. CCM training gives understanding of human behavior in unnormal situation and learns techniques to calm and reassure passengers. This helps to maintain order and reduces chaos during emergency situation on board.
4. Practical drills. Drills are important part of an effective CCM. Regular drills are making crew more effective in CCM. Also, drills are showing how effective Emergency procedures are and gives space for an improvement where needed.

  • Emergency Response: Crew members are better prepared to handle various emergencies, from fires to medical crises, ensuring a swift and organized response.
  • Leadership Skills: Training enhances leadership and decision-making skills, crucial for managing crises effectively.

4. Protecting the Company’s Reputation
