The Helicopter Dunker Training (Helicopter Egress Training) course, also known as Helo Dunker, is designed for professionals whose work involves helicopter flights and requires preparation for emergency evacuation into water.
This course is suitable for:

SAR (Search and Rescue) teams requiring advanced underwater egress skills in case of a helicopter ditching.
If you are an offshore worker, you can take the Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) course certified to OPITO standards. The course is also open to any individual wishing to undertake advanced helicopter egress training.
The aim of the Helicopter Dunker Training (Helicopter Egress Training) course is to prepare participants to respond effectively in extreme situations during helicopter ditching or capsizing, with a focus on practical underwater egress skills under various conditions.
During the course, participants will acquire the following skills:
preparation for an emergency and correct behavior on board prior to possible evacuation;
confident use of Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) in an underwater environment;
underwater egress from various helicopter positions: partially submerged, fully capsized, during rough sea conditions, and in low-visibility/night conditions;
use of survival equipment(life jackets, life rafts).
Training section; Key topics
<b>Theoretical training</b>; - Basics of safe helicopter flight, <br>- Emergency situations — behavior and evacuation preparation,<br> - Use of CA-EBS: theory and practice in dry conditions.
<b>Practical training</b>; <b>CA-EBS use in underwater environment:</b> <br>- Breathing techniques above and below water. <br>- Egress using CA-EBS in various scenarios. <br><b>Practical helicopter egress:</b> <br>- Partially submerged helicopter, <br>- Fully capsized helicopter, <br>- Egress through windows and doors, <br>- Daytime and nighttime egress drills, <br>- Egress in challenging weather conditions: waves, rain, wind, limited visibility.
<b>Additional skills</b>; - Use of aviation life jackets, <br>- Boarding and transferring into a life raft, <br>- Basic post-evacuation survival skills.

All Dunker Training participants must be medically fit and capable of fully participating in all practical exercises. Any delegate is eligible to participate, provided they meet medical fitness requirements. All training delegates must be medically fit and possess a valid medical examination certificate.
