Duration of a Contract
One of the main priorities of good companies is the well-being of seafarers, so they offer contracts of different duration and seafarers can choose the most suitable ones for them at the crewing agency.
Nowadays, Seafarers are also get short term contracts which do not exceed a couple of weeks and then they have at least 2 weeks vacation.
By planning your work schedule wisely, it's possible to enjoy several months of vacation that you can devote to your family, hobbies, or studies.
Moreover, if a seafarer has a permanent contract, he is also paid even when he is on vacation.
