Before enrolling in the SOLAS course and obtaining a Seaman’s Book, students are required to complete a local medical examination conducted by a certified Latvian seafarer doctor.

There are two available options for booking a medical appointment:

Appointments can also be booked directly through VIA UNA clinic here

The college maintains a partnership with VIA UNA, which provides students with a discount. To access this offer, students should contact the Student Information Centre (SIC) for further details.

Important: A valid passport or Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) must be presented during the medical visit.

After the medical examination has been completed, students should notify the SIC in order to proceed with the next steps.
