Application Process for the Seaman’s Book

To apply for a Seaman’s Book, students must complete the following steps:
- Valid Medical Certificate. A valid medical certificate issued by a certified Latvian seafarer doctor is required.
- SOLAS Certificate. Students may attend the SOLAS course upon obtaining a valid medical certificate. Courses are conducted every two weeks. To register, contact the Student Information Center (SIC).
- Reference Letter from the College. An electronically signed reference letter confirming student status must be requested by emailing: edu@novikontas.org
- Appointment with the Maritime Administration. Once all required documents are prepared, students must schedule an appointment with the Maritime Administration to submit their Seaman’s Book application.
