The ultimate upgrade. Many Motormen choose to continue their studies in our higher education programs to become certified Ship Engineers.
A senior rating role with a premium salary. You handle advanced mechanical repairs, welding, and specific technical systems on board.
A fully qualified engine rating. You are responsible for daily machinery lubrication, monitoring temperatures, and assisting engineers during watches.
Your starting point to gain sea time. You will assist with engine room maintenance, cleaning, and basic mechanical tasks while earning your first salary at sea.

Our training is 100% focused on real technical skills. We prepare you for the demanding environment of a ship's engine room, teaching you how to maintain, troubleshoot, and safely operate marine machinery.

- Hands-on Machinery Practice:Learn essential mechanical skills: working with hand tools, pipe fitting, basic welding, and daily maintenance of diesel engines in our workshops.
- Engine WatchkeepingYou won't just clean parts. You will learn how to monitor gauges, maintain fluid levels, and assist the Engineering Officer during watches on our advanced simulators.
- Safety & SurvivalIntensive practical training in engine room firefighting, sea survival, and first aid. You will be fully STCW-certified and ready for emergencies.
